Club Kit

Serpentine Club Kit CollectionWe have a fantastic range of running, tri, cycle, and casual kit. In a range of sizes to suit all, our kit is of high quality and great value.

See the catalogue for current stock.

Use the kit for racing, training, or giving your support at races as a volunteer or spectator.

Purchasing kit

Kit can be purchased from the kit room in the basement of the Seymour Leisure Centre, adjacent to the club room area. Please note we do not provide a mail order service for kit.

How to pay

  • Credit/debit card
  • Voucher as sent to new members; bring the letter with the voucher (Note: Vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of issue)
  • Cash - exact amount only. Change is unavailable so any extra monies will be donated to Serpentine funds

Kit Room Opening Hours:

    • most Wednesdays evenings before the run, usually between 6.15pm and 6.40pm
    • except the last Wednesday of each month, when it is open after the run, around 8.15pm to 8:45pm
    • most Saturday mornings after the club run, around 11:15am to 11:45am
    • except for the first Saturday of each month when it is closed because the club handicap is run

If the kit room won't be open as listed above, we'll try to send out a message on the 'training' mailing lists. Please note, however, that the kit room is run by volunteers and occasionally it may not be open, with no advance notice of closure possible.

If you have any questions please email: kit@serpentine.org.uk

We also provide a handicap delivery service to new members who may find it difficult to visit the kit room during the above opening hours. Simply send an email with your desired style (vest or T-shirt), whether men's or women's and the size you want to kit@serpentine.org.uk by the Tuesday before the handicap and we will try to bring this out to the next handicap club race for you to collect (first Saturday of each month in Hyde Park). Please make sure you bring your letter including your voucher (valid for 6 months from date of issue) to the handicap race when you collect your order. Please note: We cannot accept cash or cards at the handicap, only vouchers.

Special note about racing in eligible kit

We urge you to wear a running vest, crop-top or t-shirt (short or long sleeves) for running races. This kit – the style it's in, the colours and the portrayal of our two distinctive gold hoops – is officially recognised by UK Athletics and will ensure you and/or your team are eligible to represent the club in that race.

Please note the inverse running tops are not official kit and will not be recognised as so by UK Athletics. These are for visibility on training runs although we will allow them as kit for the Saturday handicap.

Our older tri kit, though very similar, is also not official running kit due to the use of black panels (our newer kit in the ususla red and gold is ok). Wearing it for cross-country, road or other running races risks you being ineligible to represent the club in that race. This guideline applies to all the tri tops and tri suits. Tri shorts are permissible, although bear in mind that these have a thin towelling crotch protection pad intended to guard against chaffing against a saddle.

You are normally able to compete in tri competitions in the clothing of your choice providing it meets the rules (see rule 22 of the British Triathlon rule book). Note: our crop-top no longer meets the rules as it is too small (short). BTF are not as particular as UK Athletics about what you wear to represent your club. Do note, however, that the rules for our own Club Championships are very clear –club kit must be worn in Club Championship races in order to be eligible for Club Championships. The only exception to this rule is for the marathon where many people have to wear charity kit.
